Who Are We

We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God.

” All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteous”  (2 Timothy 3:16)

We are not a denomination, but a group of baptized believers who seek to follow the pattern and commands revealed to us in the Bible.

We SPEAK where the Bible speaks and we're SILENT where the Bible is silent.

We call Bible things by Bible names and we do Bible things in Bible ways.

We have no man or group of men who legislate our doctrine.

OUR HEAD IS CHRIST AND HE IS WHO WE ANSWER TO.

Our Worship is spiritual and orderly, and we try to worship as the true worshippers Jesus spoke of in John 4: 23-24

“God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.”

Simply put, we try to emulate the church you can read about in the Bible.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you use instrumental music in your worship?

The Lord’s church was commanded to sing (Colossians 3:16; Ephesians 5:19) . Our praise and worship to God is with our hearts, not with a musical instrument. Only we are entertained by using an instrument in our worship, not God. Although instruments were used in the Old Testament, the New Testament is silent concerning musical instruments and instructs us to only sing and make melody in our hearts.

How often do you partake of the Lord's Supper ?

We partake of the Lord’s Supper every first day of the week. Acts 20:7 tells us that this was when the disciples came together to partake of it, “upon the first day of the week”. Every week has a first day, Sunday, and we, like the disciples, gather and observe the Lord’s Supper each and every Sunday.

Do you believe baptism is essential for salvation?

Several Bible verses show the necessity of baptism in our salvation. In Acts 2:38, we are told to repent and be baptized for the remission of sins.  It is through baptism that our sins are washed away (Acts 22:16). It is only through baptism that we can put on Christ (Galatians 3:26,27). It is only through baptism that we share in Christ’s death and resurrection (Romans 6:3-5). Baptism is an act of obedient faith and submission to Christ’s will. We can’t be saved without it  (Mark 16:15-16).

Do you feel that members of the church of Christ will be the only ones saved?

Not all religious people will be saved.  Only those who submit to Jesus’ will and seek to obey Him will be saved (Matthew 7:21). John 12:44-48 tells us that the words Jesus has given us, the Bible, will be what judges us in judgment.  It is up to each individual to make wise choices and study God’s word so we know what’s right.  Those are the ones who will be saved; those who seek, find and obey His will.

What must I do to be saved?

Romans 10:17 tells us we must HEAR the gospel.   John 20:31 tells us we must BELIEVE the gospel.  Luke 13:3 tells us we must REPENT of our past sins.  Romans 10:10 tells us we must CONFESS our faith in Christ.  Mark 16:16 tells us we must be BAPTIZED.  Revelation 2:10 tells us we must BE FAITHFUL UNTIL DEATH.
