The Gospel Truth
"...the power of God for Salvation..." (Rom.1:16)
Blessed Be God

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with ALL spiritual blessings in heavenly places IN Christ: According as he has chosen us IN him (Jesus) before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love… (Eph. 1:3-4)
We read in Romans 10:10-11 that …with the heart man believes UNTO righteousness: and with the mouth confession is made UNTO salvation. For the scripture says, Whosoever believes ON him shall not be ashamed.
The question we need to consider is: How does one get INTO Christ where ALL spiritual blessings are to be found? The answer is found in Gal 3:26-27: “For ye are all the children of God by faith IN Christ Jesus. For as many of you as have been baptized INTO Christ have put ON Christ.
We should all be united in this fact. (Michael Garrison)
Body and Soul
by Michael Garrison
Human beings have souls, according to God’s Holy Word. Jesus shows this when he said, “fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul.” (Matthew 10:28) He shows here that man is more than just an animal. Humans were created in the image of God, which means we have a spiritual part which is eternal in nature and non-material in substance (See Genesis 2:7; Zechariah 12:1; Hebrews 12:9).
We are also told “that (our) body is the temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you… therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.” (1 Corinthians 6:19-20) That being true, we should not harm our bodies with alcohol, tobacco, fornication or other sins of the flesh (Romans 6:16). We see a list of some of the sins of the flesh in Galatians 5:19-21. Let us think on these things!

--Salvation By Grace--
Paul says of the Ephesians, “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast” (Eph. 2: 8,9).
How were the Ephesians saved by grace?
(Eph. 1:13) In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation…
(Eph 1:13) In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed…
(Acts19:18,19 And many that believed came, and confessed, and shewed their deeds. Many of them also which used curious arts brought their books together, and burned them before all men…
(Acts 19:18) And many that believed came, and confessed…
(Acts 19:5) When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.
Paul affirms they were “saved”
(Eph. 2:5,8) Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)…For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God;
When they heard the truth of the gospel, they believed it, repented of their sins, confessed their faith, and were baptized into Christ. Paul says they were “saved by grace.”
If you have not done what the Ephesians did, you have not been “saved by grace”. (author: T.J. O’Neal Searching The Scriptures, pg. 82, vol. 15, June 1974: edited by Michael Garrison.)
